Toothpaste on Pimples - Does it work? How to get Rid of Pimples
Toothpaste on pimples - The Background
Toothpaste on pimples dates back probably before many of us were even thought of or born. There are many other myths and legends about other things that will get rid of blemishes This is an old remedy that some people call a myth and some people swear by it as a last second attempt at getting rid of the blemish that will ruin your prom night, first date, or that big interview for that job you wanted to land so bad. This will help to dry out the pimple and rid it from your skin. Of course there are drawbacks to this, if it was full proof everyone would do it! The only draw back I have heard is that it can leave a dark spot where the pimple used to be. And if you have multiple breakouts do not use toothpaste on it at all. Please see a dermatologist and seek professional advice.
Toothpaste on Pimples - The Process
First you must prepare the infected area by washing it with a warm-hot wash cloth and facial soap in order to open up your pores and rid your skin from any other extra dirt or oils that may cause more pimples. Second you must choose what you want for your toothpaste on pimples you have. A smart choice is to choose a generic white colored paste. This is because many of the modern day brands of toothpaste with added ingredients could have a bad reaction with your skin. You will also want a pair of gloves or something soft to apply the toothpaste with in order to protect your skin from being damadged by the dirt from your fingeernails or callus. Next when applying the toothpaste on pimples, use as small amount as possibe maybe about the size of the head of a nail. It really just depends on how big your pimple is and how many you have. Please do not overdue on the amount of toothpaste. with the nail size amount of toothpaste on your index finger, gently apply the paste by dabbing the pimple and rubbing in a circular motion. This is going to make sure the whole area is completely covered. Let it sit overnight and by the morning it dry out the pimple and leave dead, dried skin that should be peeled off then washed after it is removed. Be careful not to cause any damage to the good skin underneath though. This way you don't rupture anything and ruiin the work you have put in.

This home remedy make work for you but in some cases could cause skin irritation. I only suggest trying this method if it is a last ditch effort because there are way better methods available. I recommend mainstream products such as Clearisil, Neuotrogena, and Proactiv. My personal favorite is Proactiv which I have seen the fastest and best results with. Maintaining a daily routine with washing your face with one of these name brands will help you prevent any other pimples and maintain healthy clean face. This routine should be just as natural as brushing your teeth and taking a shower ever morning to ensure success. This method is a quick and simple in-home remedy I have used with mild success. I am by no means an expert on skin or licensed as a professional dermatologist. It is always better to seek professional help before engaging in anything health related. I am not responsible for the reaction or side effects from improper execution or use of this process.
